Evidently, God changes his mind. What was sold to members of the Church in November 2015 by then President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, Elder Nelson, as a veritable revelation from God has now been officially changed. Members who are in same sex relationships are no longer considered “apostates” and their children can be baptized before turning 18. The unchangeable God we worship has reversed course.
According to President Nelson, the Lord has blessed us with “revelation upon revelation, knowledge upon knowledge…that which bringeth joy, that which bringeth life eternal” (D&C 42:61). Today’s press release asserts that “We are all eyewitnesses to revelations from the Lord as He guides the affairs of His Church.”
Hogwash.
These policy changes are the works of men and women who may be trying to do their very best, but they are not revelations from the Almighty. At the risk of sounding like a broken record:
BRING FORTH THE EXACT WORDS OF THE LORD.
That is what Joseph did. We should expect no less from those who claim to speak for the Lord today. The ancient prophet, Jeremiah, instructed us to ask these leaders:
“Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the Lord answered thee? and, What hath the Lord spoken?” (Jeremiah 23:37)
Is that too much to ask? Apparently so.
If you have any interest in finding out how we got into this mess where the Lord is not communicating with us directly during this period of chastisement, check out the latest two episodes of the Iron Rod Podcast.

I have listened and really appreciate podcasts. I was totally shocked when we heard this last night a god whom is the same today, yesterday and forever according to church now has Alzheimer’s because he changes his mind regularly.
I sure hope you guys don’t report apostates because I definitely would be considered one. I left church four or five years ago but have not had my name removed yet as my change of heart is most distressing to my children and grandchildren in church. I would like to point them to your podcasts but life was most difficult and when we first left church our children were very leery of us that we might be dangerous to our grandchildren. Lois

A professor in Pathways in which I am a part said that God isn’t who changes it is the people. Different people of different eras need different things and so…..somehow….this is suppose to make sense.
